When I was young, I went along for the ride as my parents crashed and burned with three different businesses — a beauty salon, a printing company, and, of all things, a Christmas tree farm. Looking back now as a finance professional, I can say with confidence: they didn’t have to fail. They just didn’t have a plan.
Over the past 20+ years, I’ve met dozens of business owners who remind me of my parents — talented, hard-working, and deeply invested in what they’ve built, yet struggling to see the financial road ahead.
